President Mayuri Shah chaired the meeting. She called upon Toastmaster David Rafanowicz to deliver an invocation and the led the group in recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag and the Toastmasters’ Mission Statement.

Adi Jovich          “You’ve Just Found a Magic Lamp and the Genie has Granted You Three Wishes. What Will You Wish For?”

President Shah reviewed Evaluator assignments prior to introducing the speakers. Prepared speeches were delivered by:

Speeches were evaluated by Adi Jovich, Houtan Taba, Jonathan Tannen, Elizabeth Oehl.

 

Toastmaster Millie Tannen led the group in an educational exercise on Vocal Variety and Vocabulary. She presented video tapes to compare a monotone speaker with multi-tonal speaker.

 

President Mayuri Shah finalized arrangements for next week’s meeting. Prepared speeches will be delivered by Mayuri, Jonathan Tannen and Adi Jovich.  Thee meeting will be held at the Haskel Company, 111 Riverside Avenue, Riverside Plaza (next door to the Florida Times-Union building).

 

Toastmaster Yurania Causey provided a general evaluation of the meeting, complimenting participants on their progress since the first meeting..

 

President Shah announced winners and presented the awards for:

Best Evaluator:       Elizabeth Oehl

Best Speaker:         Mayuri Shah 

 

President Shah called for comments and adjourned the meeting at 5:17 p.m.
