Vice President Ashley Graham chaired the meeting. She opened the meeting with an invocation and led the group in recitation of the Pledge, and the Toastmasters’ Mission Statement.
The word of the day was Preparation.
Chairperson Graham led the group in Table topics:

Rebecca Roden “How will you spend your summer vacation?” Houtan Taba “If you had one thing you could do for humanity, what would it be?” Sagar Vijapura “If you had three wishes, what would they be?” Chairperson Graham reviewed Evaluator assignments prior to introducing the speakers.
Bernard Chu spoke on the pros (and cons) of Toastmasters. His speech was evaluated by Nima Sharifai “ Chad Cutlip warned us of the pitfalls stemming from speeding and reckless driving. Karan Sutaria evaluated his speech. Houtan Taba recounted his trip to the University of Central Florida. Sagar Vijapura evaluated Houtan’s speech Adi Jovovic related his childhood experience, and perception of, the Bosnian War. Rebecca Roden provided the evaluation.
Program Coordinator Beverly Farnell provided a review of the Session Five reading assignment, “Chairmanship and Good Listening.”
Chairperson Graham announced the winners and presented the awards for:
Best Table Topic: Jonathan Tannen Best Evaluator: Karan Sutaria Best Speaker: Adi Jovovic
Toastmaster Nandu Shah delivered the Ah Counters Report.
David Rafanowicz gave instructions on the time and place for the next meeting, since the library will be closed. The meeting will be held at the Haskell Company offices, 111 Riverside Avenue, Riverside Plaza (next door to the Florida Times-Union building).
Chairperson Graham called for comments and adjourned the meeting.
